Camp Outs

2019 WWII Re-enactment campout

Troop 76 scouts visited the Collins Foundation in Hudson, MA on October 12, 2019. The Collins Foundation hosted a WWII re-enactment with over 300 re-en-actors act as docents who share a wealth of information about life as a WWII military person. WWII Veterans from all ranks and branches of service will participate in a round-table discussion. The battle re-enactment lasted 40 minutes in duration and featured operating tanks, vehicles, and pyrotechnics as well as over 200 soldier re-en-actors on both sides.

All three Museums were open: The Classic Car Barn, The Hangar and The American Heritage Museum.  Over 85 artifacts were on display, including the rare WWII German Panther tank, a combat veteran Russian IS-2 tank, an Iraqi SCUD missile and the only publicly displayed M1A1 Abrams tank in the world.
